Meet Clay

I’m Clay Norman. I live with my wife, Ashley, and our children on family land in Jackson Parish. Our 8-year-old is in 3rd grade and our 4-year-old is in Pre-K 4, so school isn’t abstract in our house — it’s the rhythm of every week. We also have a 9-month-old foster daughter we’ve cared for since infancy. Fostering has been a challenging and deeply rewarding part of our family’s story, and it keeps us grounded in what children need most: stability, care, and people who show up.

Since July, I’ve served as Administrator at Green Clinic in Ruston — a multi-specialty, physician-owned clinic that has cared for families in this region since 1948. Before stepping into that role, I led the clinic’s technology work as CIO, building on a career managing IT for healthcare, non-profit, and higher education organizations. Collaboration and practical problem-solving have been constants through every step.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University in 2013, along with a certificate in Information Assurance, and completed my MBA at Western Governors University in June 2025. On weekends, I love spending time as a family — traveling or doing something fun with the kids. We enjoy camping in our travel trailer at lakes around our area, and we own a small flock of chickens and love sharing farm-fresh eggs with family and friends.

I’m running for Jackson Parish School Board, District 7, with a simple filter for every decision: Students and Teachers First.
